Photography is the ephemeral made eternal.
For me, photography isn’t an art of creation; it is an art of recognition. It is the work of a documentarian—capturing a moment of beauty or emotion painted in light, shadow, and color.
My name is Anthony. I am a founding partner of the digital agency Red Fin Group based in Jacksonville, Florida. This photography project represents my transition from the external and practical world to the inner and introspective.
The motivation for the creation of this website was heavily influenced by the story of Vivian Maier who I became aware of while viewing the documentary Finding Vivian Maier. Her work encompasses over 100,000 images of life and emotion on the streets of Chicago and New York in the 1950s and 60s. Her images were captured, developed and packed haphazardly in a rental storage unit where they remained undiscovered until after her death.
Her story made me realize that capturing the image is only half of the work. The other half is curation. Without the discipline to organize and present the work, the observation is lost.
This website is me doing the other half of the work.
